Fair Tax, Lets get it Rolling!

Notify your friends, neighbors, and anyone who would like: No tax filings, No loopholes and No hidden taxes. At last your proprty is your own without paying property taxes twice a year. Fair tax is fair! Fair tax is a consumption tax, so the more you buy, the more you pay in taxes, and the less you buy the less you spend on taxes. Everyone pays fairly when they choose to spend. However, the poor will get rebates for lifes necessities, which truly makes it fair. Check it out online at: http://www.fairtax.org, and in Michigan @ http://www.mifairtax.org Thanks!

My Thoughts on the Proposed Mosque near Ground Zero

The debate on the mosque is heated with both sides politically believing they are right on this issue. Perhaps there are good points on both sides of the aisle. However this libertarian viewpoint is that they do have the right to build on private property wherever they wish. The only problem I see is the insensitivity toward 9/11's victims to build in this location. I find it hard to believe that the planners will be able to find anyone who would agree to work on this project.

Nancy Pelosi may want to investigate me for personally thinking to build there when we have not healed as a nation from this travesty is just wrong. So yes, I do oppose the building of the mosque in the said location. I am also angered at there so-called "moderate" Imam Rauf who has blamed us for being an accessory to what happened on that fateful day in 2001. He stated, and I quote,"I wouldn't say that the United States deserved what happened, but the United States policies were an accessory to the crime that happened; because the United states has been ab accessory to a lot of innocent lives dying in the world! In fact it... in the most direct sense, Osama Bin laden was made in the U.S.A." This coming from a man who refuses to name Hamas as a terrorist organization, and is committed to bringing Sharia law to America! As a woman I would not be thrilled to be treated worse than a dog.

Why is ground zero the only choice for this mosque? Is tolerance not a two way street?

Wishing...

Just sitting here thinking and wishing that I could be among those attending the Restoring Honor rally in D.C. this coming Saturday, August 28, 2010. It was an honor, and exciting for me to be with the 9/12 ers in 2009.
Just a note to let you all know that my heart is with you and Glenn Beck on this historic day. I do hope that this bring the change to dignity, honesty and freedom this country so needs.

I also hope it makes people stop and think about who they are willing to have represent them November when they go to the polls.

God Bless America

An Email from my beloved Aunt...

Explanation:

I have often wondered why the conservatives are called the "right" and the liberals are called the "left."

By chance I stumbled upon this verse in the Bible:
Ecclesiastes 10:2 (NIV)

"The heart of the wise inclines to the right,
but the heart of the fool to the left"

Yep, that's it!

Is Obama a Celebrity that is out of touch with the American people?

I would appreciate any views on this subject. Obama made a speech recently stating that he understands our plight. He referred to the time a few years back when he struggled with his young family. As a man who has never held a real job, and has had assets in excess of $5 million, I am wondering how he can really relate to the average citizen.

Obama has apparently been sheltered his entire life. Too many details have really been obscured. I wonder how he traveled so extensively from the time of his youth, through college and his days of community organizing. Just who did foot the bill? Was it his grandparents or did he have a very wealthy mentor?
The average American has not had the opportunities afforded Obama, so how can he truly relate to the everyday obstacles we are confronted with?

Most of us struggled to get jobs, and pay our own way through college, even taking semesters or years off to be able to afford our education. I do not begrudge anyone who has had to work hard to earn what they have, and Americans are proud of their sacrifices to get ahead. As a people we have become stronger through sacrifice.

Since Obama has never had to sacrifice, I doubt that he has the strength or the fortitude to succeed as most Americans.

So exactly how is he in-touch with America?

Again the Taxpayers will be footing the bill for the Unemployment Benefit extension

The bill has been authorized to resume jobless benefits for our nations long-term unemployed.

I do not begrudge this good news to those affected by this bill, but there will be a price to pay down the line.

The worst part of this extension is that it is not being paid for by funds such as the unused stimulus.

It will be funded by more deficit spending that will add millions, if not more, to our national debt.

The Senate Republicans tried to get the Democrats in the Senate to act fiscally responsible, but it all fell on deaf ears.

So, it looks like we will again be lambasted by the Obama administration, and big government will hand out more cash to people in their weak attempt to prop up the economy. This will naturally hurt the generations to come through increased taxes to pay off the debt of this presidency.

I do support the extension of these benefits, but do not understand why the Democrats felt they had to put us yet deeper into a debt with a budget now exceeding $4 trillion dollars.

All this spend, spend, spend by Obama and the Democratic Congress will, without a doubt bring us into a longer recession and necessarily hurt businesses, both big and small.

The government does not create jobs, and spending on this bill, and other wasteful pork will not put Americans back to work!

Will we have change in November from some new faces in the Senate and Congress who will be accountable in addressing the economy?

Will Obama really listen to GOP concerns?

The president states that he is willing to listen, and is open to bipartisan solutions to the nation's woes. I think it would be wonderful, but actions speak much louder than words. If he really was interested in the views of the GOP, then he should actually listen to them and not just expect them to toe the line.
Mr President bipartisanship does not mean surrender!
